Not Stan

Why focus on a commenter's anonymity? I happen to believe that using your real name on most blogs is foolhardy- certainly not an act of courage. How does an anonymous post lose value simply by not having a name attached to it?

Glad they got what they deserved and justice for their abuse pervailed. It's a sad sad world when a mother allows her boyfriend to abuse her child, her own flesh and blood.

Stan B. Walters

Frank - THX for the feedback.

JUST AN UPDATE:
Verona Brinegar & Ronnie Crabtree were found guilty of wanton murder and 1st degree abuse. The jury recommend 25 on the murder and 10 on the abuse for Brinegar and 35 on murder and 10 on the abuse for Crabtree.

I still think the video had a big impact on this case.

Stan,

nice rebuttal, very nice. You were thorough showing you had done your homework, logical and sequential in your presentation of your thoughts, you were open to feedback on your conclusions and did I sense just a little of the "Stan Walters" humor as well.

A big fan,
Frank Marsh

Thanks for your thoughts. Blogs are for posting opinions, comments, observations and encouraging dialogue on various topics and issues. I'm appreciate you taking the time to add your observations although you did not feel inclined to add your name and that unfortunately depreciates the value of your observations.

I gather you WERE in the courtroom, so let's review the testimony reported.

1. Mom said the baby must have suffocated because of being wrapped too tightly in the blanket. The ME however testified that the "scientific" evidence of autopsy indicated the child was asphyxiated "by force." What would be your "expert opinion?"

2. Mom said the bruises in her ears was from being wrapped too tightly in the blanket. Being in the courtroom I'm sure your heard the LONG testimony of the ME including that such injury inconsistent and would only be possible because of some form of blows to the head. (I believe that's the "general" impression the ME gave.) What is your "learned" conclusion after hearing that testimony and seeing the autopsy photos?

3. Mom said the burns on Callie's feet were from having her feet pushed up against a wall socket by her brother. I believe you heard testimony from a 40 year licensed electrician stating that's not possible and that it would take minimum 220 volts to do that AND to even make contact he had to with great effort force his FINGERS into the socket and he only got a tingle. The ME also stated the burns were consistent with cigarettes AND there were similar burns on other parts of her body including thighs, buttocks and even in her vaginal area (if I remember the testimony correctly) and oh yes on the corner of her mouth. However you saw those photo's while you were in the courtroom. What is your opinion on those burns?

4. Mom said the 12 bruises on Callie's head were from her son hitting her repeatedly with a wooden crayon box. The ME said those injuries contributed to the child's death. If the child was beaten THAT hard, didn't Mom and the boyfriend hear the child crying? Why didn't they separate the kids when Callie first cried out in pain after being hit the first time? BUT... I'm sure you have a better explanation for those traumatic injuries based on your observations from the trial.

Just wondering what your thoughts may be. Anyone is welcome to post on the blog. (As long as it is not offensive, etc.) Anyone is more than welcome to disagree. That's the whole purpose of a blog.

Next time may I suggest, that you point out a few facts, your point of view or alternate conclusions and at least have the courage to add your name.

Interesting. I haven't seen you in the courtroom all week yet you're somehow able to make a conclusion on ALL the evidence that's been presented.....I'd say a real blogger would actually report the truth based on what they witnessed instead of perpetuating an uniformed opinion.
