I'm Stan B. Walters and I'm known as "The Lie Guy®"

Stan is known as “The Lie Guy®. He runs the company Truth & Deception, Inc. He works with agencies and organizations that want to train their people how to conduct interviews and interrogations and uncover the real story.

Stan is the author of three books, several multiple level training programs, as well as audio, and computer training. He has served as a subject matter expert on interview & interrogation at Johns Hopkins. He has conducted research on human deception behavior at John Jay College in New York and has published scientific papers on the topic. He serves as an adjunct instructor for the Department of Defense – Defense Academy of Credibility Assessment, the University of Missouri – Law Enforcement Training Institute and at Eastern Kentucky University. He regularly consults on pending criminal & civil cases.

Stan is a professional member of the National Speaker’s Association. Well known as an energetic and dynamic instructor, Stan teaches and trains worldwide including such groups as the National Security Agency, FBI, The Texas Rangers, US Army Military Intelligence, US Air Force – OSI, major police departments and law enforcement academies nationwide, state boards of health, adult and juvenile probation, state bar associations, district judges, private corporations and professional associations. He has also taught in Europe, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates.

Known as “The Lie Guy®” Stan has done many radio interviews world-wide. He has been wuaoted in numerous business amagazine and on-line web sites and has even been quoted in Cosmo, Fitness, Maxxim, Rolling Stone, major newspapers such as LA, San Francisco, Chicago, and New Jersey. He has appeared on multiple news programs and news magazines for ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and FOX. He been profiled on the National Geographic Channel and is currently involved in a second project for the National Geographic Channel.
